In honour of Tu B Shvat, Morah Nadine brought in the shivas haminim- 7 special fruits of Eretz Yisroel for the children to taste!While the grapes were loved by all... some of the fruits such as figs and dates were tasted for the first time by the children! Their facial expressions really gave away whether they liked them!
With each fruit the children discussed its origin and what it can be used for eg: grapes for wine and olives for oil! The children used ALL of their senses for this experience; smell, taste, touch, hearing and seeing!
